MOPS (Mothers of preschoolers) meet, 9 - 11 a.m., first and third Thursdays of the month, Wadena Alliance Church.

Friday, Jan. 18

The WDC and Crookston dance teams will be dancing for entertainment at halftime of the WDC boys basketball vs. Crookston game on Jan. 18.

SongBlast Dueling Guitars concert at 8 p.m. at the New York Mills City Hall Ballroom.

Saturday, Jan. 19

Take a Kid Ice Fishing Weekend is Saturday, Jan. 19, through Monday, Jan. 21.

During the weekend, Minnesota residents age 16 or older can fish or dark-house spear without an angling or spearing license if they take a child younger than 16 fishing or spearing.

Monday Jan. 21

The Rhythmettes Dance Review is at 6 p.m. in the Elementary Gym. Dancers of all ages, including the Rhythmettes.

Wadena County DFL meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Hub 71 in Sebeka. Anyone interested in joining the Wadena County Democratic Party Committee is encouraged to attend. There are no fees or dues required. For more information, email DFLWadenaCoChair@yahoo.com.

The Wadena-Deer Creek School Board meets at 5:30 p.m. in the middle/high school's Robertson Theatre.

The Regular Board of Commissioners Meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Wadena Housing & Redevelopment Authority (WHRA) Main Office in the boardroom. If you have items that you would like placed on the agenda, or if you have any questions, call (218) 631-7723 prior to the meeting.

The MN Twins Caravan 2019 will be at Wadena-Deer Creek Middle/High School Gym at 11 a.m. Scheduled to appear are new manager Rocco Baldelli, Eddie Rosario, Jose Berrios, and radio broadcaster Kris Atteberry. This event is open to the public and is hosted by KWAD/KFAN & K106 Radio and WDC Schools.
