Thursday, Sept. 29
Free clothes giveaway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wadena Assembly of God Church, 419 First Street NW in Wadena. All items are free and include maternity, blankets, newborn - 4T clothes, pack n' plays, baby bath tubs, high chairs, diapers, etc. No donations are needed. Hosted by the Lakes Area Pregnancy Support Center.
Saturday, Oct. 1-2
Former Minnesota Viking Joe Jackson will be at the Wadena Assembly of God Church on October 1 and 2.
Jackson will join others for breakfast at 9 a.m. on October 1.

On October 2, he'll be in attendance at 10:30 a.m., during the normal worship service.

Sunday, Oct. 2
St. Frederick's Catholic Church in Verndale will hold their annual Fall Breakfast, bake produce sale and raffle from 8 a.m. to noon. They serve pancakes, French toast, ham, scrambled eggs, juice, milk and coffee. Free will offering.
Tuesday, Oct. 4
First Tuesday Dance at the Wadena VFW from 1-4 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 8
Annual Zombie Run starts at 11 a.m. Pub Crawl and Haunted House later in the day. To register for the Zombie Run go to the Wadena Chamber web page or call 218-632-7704 or email chamber@wadenacoc.com .

  • Wadena City Library preschool storytimes on Wednesdays are on Facebook at 9 a.m. and in-person at the library at 10 a.m. You can listen to a few stories and make a craft or eat a snack.
