• Come for dessert and information on the new LAPS office in Wadena from 6-7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to all. The office is located at the Birch Lake Counseling building at 15 Dayton Avenue SE in Wadena. RSVP by October 20 at stapleslaps@gmail.com or call 218-895-5200.
• Wadena County Humane Society Chili Feed and Silent Auction from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Wadena VFW. Free will offering. Take out available.

Saturday, Oct. 29

• An event focused on improving your mental health and managing stress is planned from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Staples High School Cafetorium. This event is focused on fathers and father-to-be. Event includes a free lunch. The school is located at 401 Centennial Drive in Staples.

Monday, Oct. 31
Trick-or-Treating from 3-5 p.m. at participating businesses.

Wednesday, Nov. 9
Central Community Church (formerly Central United Methodist Church) Pancake Supper & Bazaar is from 5-8 p.m. Free will offering. Church is located at 15384 County Rd 26 in Verndale.

• Wadena Farmer's Market open Tuesdays in BN Park from 7 -11 a.m.; and Fridays on the Wesley Lawn from 2-5:30 p.m.

• Wadena City Library preschool storytimes on Wednesdays are on Facebook at 9 a.m. and in-person at the library at 10 a.m. You can listen to a few stories and make a craft or eat a snack.
