The Christmas in Wadena Light Show has returned with all the gleaming grandeur of years past and even more on display this winter season.
For those unaccustomed to this annual event, simply travel to Wadena and look for the flashing lights just south of the WDC Elementary School. Held nightly through New Years at 414 Third St. SW, the home of Greg and Nancy Anderson, this event raises funds and accepts donations. While the event is free for as many vehicles and pedestrians as can fit on the street in front of the Anderson home, a non-perishable food item or monetary donation is accepted, which benefits Project Share of Wadena County the local food shelf. Donations can be placed in a donation box near the sidewalk.
Of course, this is more than just lights. All lighting is insync with music played from your own vehicle. By tuning into 88.1, you can listen and watch for over an hour without ever hearing the same song.
