A community benefit dinner and DJ evening for Stephanie Larson will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Wadena Elks Lodge.

Volunteer Mark Johnson said the event will raise funds to offset medical expenses incurred after Larson suffered cardiac arrest of unknown causes. She has had three open heart surgeries.

"They never figured out what happened that night," he said.

A free will offering dinner of chicken, potatoes, vegetables and rice will be served from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and a silent auction will also be held at that time.

Linoleum Disc Jockeys will provide music from 8 p.m. to midnight.
