WADENA — A new tanning experience is coming to Wadena as another closes up shop.
Endless Glow, owned and operated by Nikki Dykhoff is opening in May in the lower level of her other business Rejuvenating Massage.
Dykhoff is taking over ownership of tanning equipment from Paula Sweere's Everything Under the Sun business as she closes her business at the end of April.
Dykhoff has big plans in creating a unique tanning experience where you can get your tan anytime that works for you. She's been remodeling the lower level of the office building to open up five tanning rooms where people can privately get that glow they are hoping for. Access to this area will be made available 24-hours a day seven days a week with the use of a fob.

It's been a 26 year adventure for owner Paula Sweere.

"A lot of women would like to go tanning but it's hard with hours of 9-5," Dykhoff said. "So more convenient."

The business will offer lay down or stand up options. She is working on a website where people can reserve spots for tanning. Packages will be available with different payment options.
Dykhoff has been offering massage upstairs at this location since 2015. She started in the industry in 2009.
Other offerings at Rejuvenating Massage continue to be provided from massage therapists Dykhoff, Avery Kelderman and Missy Ament. A more recent offering is the acupuncture services offered by Courtney Tumberg at Wadena Acupuncture.
Tumberg started up this service to fill a need in the community in July 2020. She said it's been fun introducing more people to the healing benefits of acupuncture. Acupuncture can help with just about everything from headaches, pain, indigestion, sleep or menstrual issues.
"You see typical chronic pain patients, but you also see those, you're their last resort in a way. Then they try acupuncture and you get some really great results," Tumberg said.
To those unaccustomed to the service, Tumberg is happy to explain what she can provide. For chronic pains or injuries, acupuncture can take time to see results. For others, just one session can provide some much needed relief. It varies, but treatments often build on one another.

Others may recognize Tumberg as a Wadena-Deer Creek volleyball coach alongside her mother, head coach Sue Volkmann.

What is acupuncture?

It involves the insertion of very thin needles into the body with the goal to create a therapeutic effect. The body reacts when the needle is inserted into specific locations often by sending blood to that location to aid in healing. The nerve in that location reacts by releasing hormones to the location to help you fell less pain.
