Cooperative membership means members have the opportunity to vote and elect directors to represent them. On Tuesday, Feb. 7, members of District 1 will nominate candidates for director at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Region Electric Cooperative headquarters in Pelican Rapids. Although only district members are allowed to vote, members are encouraged to attend any of the four meetings, which include an at large meeting on Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Thumper Pond in Ottertail. Other voting district meetings are District 4 at 2 p.m. at the Dent School on Thursday, Feb. 9, and District 7 at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Grace Methodist Church in Fergus Falls.
Lake Region Electric Cooperative is a member-owned, member-controlled electric utility serving more than 26,000 accounts in Otter Tail and Wilkin counties and portions of surrounding counties.
