Kinship of Todd Wadena is in danger of dissolving soon if the organization does not receive enough funding to keep operating.
The organization is holding an emergency meeting Thursday, Jan. 26. At that time, they will decide whether or not to close the office.

According to its website, Kinship is a nonprofit that promotes mentoring relationships for kids. 38 referrals of children in the area are waiting.
Dave Johnson of Kinship said the agency started in 1999 and took several years to develop and transpire.

Much of its approximately $35,000 yearly budget was from a $22,000 government grant that ended in 2009 due to state budget cuts.
A couple of private grants were lost too - so a total of $30,000 from the the $35,000 budget was lost.
"Coming up with $30,000 is not easy," he said.
In the last couple years, they had fundraiser events and a fund development program. They took in $3,800 during Railroad Days Dash and have recently relief on private donations.
Kinship has been operating on a minimal budget of $2,000 for activities and $4,000 for insurance.
