Ashley Schultz, certified physician assistant, has joined the Tri-County Health Care team at the Wadena clinic.
Medicine has fascinated Schultz since she was young. She married her high school sweetheart while applying to medical school and decided to make supporting her husband and starting a family her priorities. She became a teacher and fell in love with the profession, but when the opportunity to enter the medical field presented itself, she jumped at the chance. She attended the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
"I have finished PA school and finally get to practice medicine in my home community surrounded by many amazing and supportive medical providers," she said. "I love the small-town feel that comes with working at TCHC."
A native of Perham, Schultz and her husband, Jake, have a son and daughter and added baby number three in July. She enjoys playing games, reading, swimming, walking/jogging, hunting and all things Harry Potter.
