Due to extreme cold, Pioneer Journal delivery may be delayed

Due to extreme cold temperatures across the state, your Wadena Pioneer Journal newspaper may be delivered a day late.

While newspaper staff were able to get the paper out on time and ready to go, the United States Postal Service will not be able to deliver today due to dangerously low temperatures and wind chill values of 50-60 below zero, which caused postal delivery operations to be suspended in Minnesota, western Wisconsin, Iowa and western Illinois on Wednesday.

We apologize for the inconvenience as we know reading your local news is a great way to spend a frigid afternoon.  Thank you for your patience.
