Little Kritter’s Daycare opened its doors in June and almost immediately started receiving calls, obviously providing a much needed service to the community.

“Its going good,” said Kelly Bain, owner and operator of Little Kritter’s Daycare. Currently she and her co-workers are looking after 14 kids. She continually gets calls and even has a waiting list.

Bain is looking to expand. Her plan is to transform her regular daycare into a center so she can serve more families and their children. Bain explained that she must hold a regular license for one year before she can get a license that will allow for non-traditional hours.

Additionally, the daycare has been utilizing Parent Aware, a program designed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services to standardize childcare. The program uses a star rating system to determine the overall quality of the facility and sets important guidelines for care.

Little Kritter’s Daycare can be found on Jefferson Street North next to the Elks Lodge. For more information, contact Kelly Bain at 218-639-1650.
