Wadena County commissioners got a tour of the north annex building last Tuesday. The building, currently under construction, is set to be move-in ready the first week of June.
I love the "The Fast and Furious" movie series. With the stunts, drama and eye candy (Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, anyone?), what's not to love? I admit to being nervous to see the latest installment after watching a preview. I wasn't sure I was ready to see the hero of the previous movies turn on his family. Hundreds of children attended this year's Easter egg hunt at the Southwest softball complex in Wadena April 15. There were three different hunting areas for children—one for ages 0-3, one for 3-6 and one for children ages 7-10. The popular event, sponsored by the Wadena Chamber of Commerce, always draws a crowd. The Easter bunny was on hand for children to meet and have their picture taken. Miss Wadena Hannah Vorderbruggen, first princesses Gabi Ross and second princess Jessica Langer were also present to visit and take photos with the children.

It's a typical process. However, what isn't typical is the potential effect it could have on the community center.
