I had the opportunity to watch 'Let's Be Cops' last week with a friend. I was in a foul mood and hoped this film would change that. The film sure did deliver. I cannot remember a film which made me laugh so hard as 'Let's Be Cops' did. The premise of the film is a bit unbelievable - two lifelong friends who, after a costume party in which they finally get some respect when dressed as police officers, decide to actually pretend to be cops. Luke Greenfield directs actors Damon Wayans, Jr. (Justin) and Jake Johnson (Ryan) in this hilariously silly film.
I really enjoy spicy food. I equate spicy food with quality flavor. My family doesn't enjoy heat as much as I do, so when I am alone, I take the opportunity to get my spice on. This recipe for fiery grilled chicken fits the bill with habanero peppers, cayenne pepper and Thai chili sauce. Enjoy! Fiery Grilled Chicken Makes six servings • 1 qt. cold water • ⅓ c. kosher salt • ½ c. white sugar • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts • 1 pint cherry tomatoes • 3 habanero peppers, seeded • 4 garlic cloves • ½ teas. allspice • ½ teas. thyme • ¼ teas.

Ron Bucholz, public works director, said a parks worker who went to feed the animals found the bull dead on July 21. Bucholz doesn't know what caused the buffalo's death. He thinks the bull was 10-12 years old. The city bought him in 1998, and he was estimated to be 5 years old or so then, Bucholz said.
For many Wadena residents, the emotional scars from the June 2010 tornado are still raw and real. Though I didn't live here during the tornado, it has affected my family. So it was with trepidation that I watched "Into the Storm" with my niece and nephew. This film is a really powerful look into the devastation that a tornado, several in fact, can do to a town. The opening scene makes the viewer's heart race right from the beginning. You just know something bad is going to happen and are on the edge of your seat.
Our weather is so crazy - so much rain and now soaring temperatures. When it is too hot to cook, my go-to dinners usually involve a sandwich or salad. This recipe for tomato watermelon salad is unusual, spicy and quite delicious. Enjoy! Tomato Watermelon Salad Makes eight servings • 1 large yellow tomato, cut into cubes • 1 large red tomato, cut into cubes • 2 c. watermelon, seeded and cubed • ¼ c. rice wine vinegar • ¼ c. olive oil • 2 Tbl. Sriracha sauce • 2 teas. honey • 1 Tbl.
