FERGUS FALLS, Minn. - A Dent, Minnesota, man has been found after being reported missing for several days, the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office announced Sunday, Oct. 22. Family of Paul Baker, 51, 34723 County Highway 35, said he was at a friend's home and was not in any danger, the sheriff's office reported.
FARGO -- Police here are responding to a report of a suicidal man in the seventh floor of the downtown Radisson hotel. The man may have a gun. The SWAT team arrived on site just before 11:30 a.m. Police are trying to make contact with the man, which so far has not been successful, said Officer Jesica Schindeldecker, a Fargo police spokeswoman.
A press release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office describes a considerable marijuana operation southwest of New York Mills that has been shut down by law enforcement. According to the report, on the morning of Aug. 31, agents with the West Central Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, aided by members of the sheriff's office, executed a search warrant at a residence on County Highway 54, near 500th Avenue.

ALEXANDRIA, Minn.—Jasmine Block, the 15-year-old Alexandria girl who disappeared nearly a month ago from her home, was found Tuesday, Sept. 5, in rural Grant County. "We found Jasmine and she is safe. I will not be answering any messages or calls," Jasmine's mother, Sarah Block posted on Facebook on Tuesday. The Alexandria Police Department put out a news release at about 3:33 p.m. Tuesday confirming that Jasmine had been found.

Minnesota’s unadjusted job count passed the 3 million mark in June for the first time ever, according to figures released in mid-July by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. The agency said the state added 4,400 jobs in June on a seasonally adjusted basis and has gained 77,478 jobs over the past year, the biggest over-the-year job gain since May 1998. Job growth in Minnesota is up 2.6 percent over the past year, compared with a national job growth rate of 1.5 percent.
A teenager is hurt after being hit by a car in Henning July 16. It happened just before 1 p.m. on highway 108. State Patrol says 16-year-old Vincent Rose of Henning got out of a car across the street from his house and was trying to cross the road. They say he stopped for a westbound car but as he crossed the eastbound lane, he was hit by a car driven by 36-year-old Alice Olson. Rose was taken to the hospital in Wadena but is expected to be okay.
A Breckenridge man was hurt when the car he was driving hit two horses that were standing on a highway in Todd County in central Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the accident happened just west of Hewitt around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 8. The driver, 66-year-old David Schetnan, was westbound on Highway 210 near 121st Avenue. The patrol said as he came over a hill, the vehicle struck two horses that were standing in the westbound lane of the highway.
