The Wadena Veterans Memorial includes walls of names of veterans who have passed. Over 5,000 names cover the walls, and more are engraved on pavers and benches around the park. A fundraiser is planned for the park Sept. 22 to raise money for further additions there.

An Open Book will remain open on a limited basis, but is entering closing stages. The owner said at this point if you see the "Open Today" sign it's open for business. The business will either sell out or return remaining inventory but has several "Book Ends" events scheduled through December.
