Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary kicked off "I Love to Read Month" on Feb. 1 in the WDC gymnasium. Andrea Seelhammer, a Thrivent Financial representative, recently settled into her new Wadena office, and hosted an open house Jan. 14. The office building, owned by Merickels and constructed by Slammer Construction, is on West Highway 10 and houses two separate businesses.
