The stoplight at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Colfax Avenue is raised Thursday to make room for an oversize load, which was escorted through Wadena by Minnesota Highway Patrol. Bill Hoium, dispatcher for the patrol office in Detroit Lakes, said the transport was planned in advance and it is common for workers to have to move stoplights to make room for oversize loads. Wadena-Deer Creek will host its seventh- and eighth-grade Band and Choir Concert in the WDC Middle/High School gymnasium Monday.
