A garage fire at 804 6th Street SW in Wadena resulted in a total loss of a motorcycle and car Wednesday night. Approximately 30 firefighters from the Wadena and Verndale Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the blaze, which took about one and a half hours to put out. Photo by Randy Taggart.

Wadena Law Enforcement and Fire Department personnel emerged from the two-story brick building on the 200 block of South Jefferson in downtown Wadena shortly after a fire truck arrived to deal with a potential gas leak at the Wadena Community Senior Citizens Center.
