Interactive white boards, or SMART boards, were recently installed in classrooms at the new WDC School. A SMART board lets teachers deliver dynamic lessons, write notes in digital ink and save their work, all with the touch of a finger. Pictured above is a SMART board installed in the computer lab on second floor of the academic wing.

Noha Lassa of Merril, Wis., brought his steer down at 4.39 seconds in the steer wrestling event during the June 30 rodeo at the Wadena County Fairgrounds. The rodeo was presented by the Buffington Rodeo Co. out of South Dakota, and the Wadena County Ag Society.
