Dalton Asfeld of Dirk Schulz's Advanced Physical Education class recently made a trip to Detroit Lakes for an introduction to the sport of curling from the Detroit Lakes Curling Club. WDC students learned some of the basic rules of curling: how to properly shoot the rock, how to sweep, how the scoring system works and some of the strategy that is involved in the game. After their lesson it was time to put their skills to the test by competing against each other in a curling match.
