The Tri-County Health Care (TCHC) Foundation Golf Classic was a success for the 155 golfers and 25 volunteers who displayed their support at Whitetail Run Golf Course in Wadena on Monday, Aug. 8.

"It was a great day for golf," said Lisa Reddick, TCHC director of organizational resources. "I'm proud we raised money which will help fund health care education programs like the Men's and Women's Night Out and the February Festival of Health. The proceeds from the tournament enable the foundation to be a strong community partner in our service areas. With some of the money raised today, we will also be able to continue to award scholarships for students pursuing a career in health care and community grants - both which support the TCHC mission to improve the health of the communities we serve."

"We are very pleased with the excellent turnout and sincerely want to thank all those who participated, volunteered and donated to the cause," said Reddick.

Team results for the full scramble included: first-place (57) Kennedy, Nervig, Carlson and Van Bruggen: Dale Fink, Corey Pettit, Jamie Pettit, Matt Van Bruggen and Scott Woods.

"To create an environment of fun and team spirit, other prizes were awarded to pre-determined random finishers who finished in third, sixth, 12th and 14th place," said Reddick. The other team's winning prizes included: Wensmen Seed: Dale Erickson, Scott Gustafson, Denny Rude, Dan Sartell and Jeff Wensman; Sebeka Team: Bruce Kinnunen, Russ Weappa, Tim Pederson, Tim Bloomquist and Mark Anderson; Pro-Source/CentraCare: Joel Beiswenger, Chuck Dooley, Gerry Gilbertson, Eric Malchow and Chuck Seviour; and TCHC Auxiliary: Nadine Caya, Marge Harrison, Gwen Macklum, Regina Tellers and Nellie Wegscheid.
