Ketter fans 13 as Hornets sting Raiders

Jordan Ketter struck out 13 as the Frazee Hornets rallied to bump Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale out of the Sub-Section 6A playoffs Tuesday with a 5-4 victory.

Dallas Ehrmantraut went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI in the loss. Dillon Card was 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Tyler Wacker and Grand Overland joined Ketter with two hits in the comeback win. Overland drove in a pair of runs for the Hornets.

Card started on the hill for the Raiders and struck out nine before giving way to Preston Riewer.

The Raiders rallied from a tough one-run loss in Game 1 to gain a split with the Eagles May 24 in a Park Region Conference doubleheader.

The Eagles scored the winning run in the top of the seventh in Game 1.

Brandon Kupfer led the Eagles at the plate with three hits in four trips. Damon Tumberg went 2-for-4 and scored twice.

Preston Riewer and Eric Blaha both collected two safeties for the Raiders.

Eric Blaha, Dallas Ehrmantraut and Dillon Card combined to throw a four-hitter as the Raiders won the nightcap.

Nick Brown fanned eight and Dallas Ehrmantraut went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs as the Raiders trounced Eagle Valley May 23.

Brown surrendered only three hits in the five-inning win. Luke Mock tripled for the Rebels while Logan Riedel and Andrew Johnson collected singles.

Dillon Card, Jordan Frethem and Zach Johnson combined for six RBIs, four hits and four runs in the victory.
