Larsen boosts Lakers past Blue Devils

Randa Larsen's overtime goal helped Detroit Lakes oust Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 3-2 Feb. 9 in the first round of the Section 6A hockey playoffs.

The Lakers scored first with Chandra Johnson finding the net at the 1:23 mark.

Halley Maas tied the game with a power play goal at the 15:50 mark, assisted by Zara Einerwold.

After a scoreless second period, it was Einerwold who gave the Blue Devils their first lead with a short-handed goal at 2:24. Emily Seebold tied the game three minutes later with an unassisted goal.

Angela Hanson stopped 33 shots for the Blue Devils, who ended their season with a 7-18 record.
