Three Wadena-Deer Creek players scored double digit kills Tuesday night as the Wolverines waltzed past section foe Perham 25-10, 25-12, 25-16.

Emily Miron, Halley Maas and Caitlin Volkmann came away with 19, 13 and 12 kills respectively in the first meeting this year between the section rivals.

Heather Theisen dished out a whopping 40 assists and combined with Volkmann, Maas, Sydney Schissel and Hope Theisen for 55 digs in WDC's defensive gem.

Miron was too much for Perham's hitters at the net as she recorded 14 blocks.

"We had a really good, all-around effort," WDC Head Coach Sue Volkmann said. "Our passing was good and we eliminated our unforced errors."

The Wolverines improved to 13-6, while the Yellowjackets dropped to 6-12-1.
