Theisen fires a 97 at Detroit Lakes to lead Wolverines

Hope Theisen shot a 97 Tuesday as the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines tied Crookston for ninth in the Detroit Lakes Invitational.

Breanna Speed turned in one of her best performances of the season with a 99. Ella Harrison, Paige Hartman, Sydney Schissel and Amanda Kramer came in with scores of 101, 103, 104 and 107.

Staples-Motley star Emily Israelson was the medalist with a 78. Detroit Lakes won the team title with a 317.

Kramer sets pace in WDC Invitational Saturday

Amanda Kramer's 96 paced Wadena-Deer Creek Saturday as the Wolverines shot a fifth-place team round of 396 in the WDC Co-ed Invititational at Whitetail Run.

Ella Harrison was three strokes off Kramer's pace with a 99. Sydney Schissel finished at the century mark while Hope Theisen shot a 101, Paige Hartman fired a 102, Kelsey Browne carded a 114 and Breanna Speed shot a 123.

Grand Rapids' Dani DelGrecco was the medalist with a 78 and her team took top honors with a 328.
