Kempf, Palmquist earn top pistol honors

Sebeka's Greg Kempf and Menahga's Gary Palmquist took top honors last weekend in the Minnesota State Indoor pistol Championship at Knob Hill near Wadena.

Kempf finished first in the Sharpshooter Class while Palmquist captured first place marksman honors.

James Ladwing of Fargo claimed overall tournament honors with George Kasat of Eagan taking the resident champion title and top senior honors. Kevin Bangen of Wyoming was first in the Master Class and Wally Erickson of Lakeville placed first in the Expert Class.
