Sam Holweger's goal and a season-best effort helped the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek Blue Devils snap a three-game losing streak Saturday at the Community Ice Arena.

Holweger's third period goal gave the Blue Devils a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Moose Lake Rebels.

"This was by far the best game the girls have played yet this year," LPGE/WDC head coach Jim Conrad said. "They played a solid three periods and had many good scoring chances."
