Verdict: Jury finds St. Marie guilty on all counts

Blazers rally for 11-5 win over Midway

The Bertha Blazers exploded for nine runs in the top of the eighth inning Sunday to beat Midway 11-5 in town team baseball action.

The top four hitters in the Bertha order, Marcus Riewer, Dakota Aeling, Michael Riewer and Michael Blom, combined for nine RBIs, eight hits and six runs.

Aeling and Blom had doubles in the game and Michael Riewer homered.

Ryan Denny pitched the first four frames for Bertha but gave way to John Riewer in the fifth. Riewer gave the Blazers three innings on the hill and racked up the win. Aeling pitched the final two innings and allowed only one hit.

Drew Rasmussen and Jeff Marjama both collected two hits for Midway. Steve Wetterling drew three walks.

Stetson Burkman, who came on in relief of Zach Etter in the seventh, took the pitching loss.

The win was Bertha's sixth in a row and boosted the Blazers season record to 8-1.
