DGF volleyers bump Wolverines

The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels posted victories of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-9 in topping the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines last Tuesday night at Glyndon.

The Rebels improved to 11-11 while the Wolverines ended their regular season slate with a 6-23 record.

Hope Theisen led the Wolverines with 31 digs while Casey Volkmann chipped in with 20 and Mikaela Nordlund had 12.

Danyel Post, Lauren Soroko, Mikaela Nordlund and Jennifer Craig all recorded four blocks.

Post led the Wolverines with nine kills and Volkmann was credited with seven.

Soroko led the Wolverines with 19 set assists.

Nordlund was 14 of 14 serving the the ball with one ace.

The Wolverines travel to the home of the state-ranked Fergus Falls Otters in the Section 8AA playoffs Thursday at 7 p.m. The Wolverines are seeded sixth in the southern half of the section while the Otters are seeded second. Thief River Falls and Perham are the top two seeds in the north and south halves of Section 8AA.
