The Wadena-Deer Creek boys tennis team has been staring at the short end of quite a few lopsided losses lately. As the weather slowly warms up, so do the Wolverines.

Wolverine girls track team continues to set the tempo

Last week, the Wadena-Deer Creek track and field team attended two meets. On April 29, the Wolverine girls finished fifth out of 15 teams at the Hawley Booster Invitational and the boys were seventh. On May 1 at the East/West Classic at Minnesota State University Moorhead, the girls tied for fourth and the boys team repeated its seventh place finish.

The Wadena-Deer Creek Area Shockers opened Hi-10 League action with a bang on Sunday with the 15-1 dismantling of the Frazee Flames.

Wolverine girls golf finishes third in own invite Monday

Tracy Gustafson carded an 88 to finish fourth individually and lead the Wadena-Deer Creek girls golf team to a third-place finish in the Wadena-Deer Creek Invitational at Whitetail Run Monday.
