Helen was born on August 11, 1912 to William and Minnie Billeter in Carroll, NE. She married William Krell in Hot Springs, SD, on January 31, 1935. This union was blessed with three children. The family lived in Oregon during WWII and then returned to Nebraska and took up farming.
Helen and William were members of the community until 1966 when they moved to Minnesota. Helen loved working outdoors and always had a big garden. She loved milking cows! In later years she was interested in crocheting and supplied her family and friends with afghans and doilies.
'Bill' and Helen moved to Humphrey Manor in Wadena, MN, in 1992. They were members of the Wadena Assembly of God Church and attended faithfully. After Bill's passing in 1998 Helen continued to live at Humphrey Manor. In April of 2013 she moved to an assisted living residence in Wadena and from there went to the Elders' Home in New York Mills until her passing on February 9, 2017 at the age of 104. She devoted her entire life to her family. She was overjoyed that the families shared her faith in God and one day all will meet again.
Helen is survived by two of her three children Raymond (Judy) of Verndale, Laraine Myers of Staples and daughter-in-law Arlene Krell; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; her son, Ronald; two brothers; and two sisters.
