05/08/2008 12:00 AM Richard Lee Jordan, 71, passed away April 30, 2008, at his home with his family at his side, after having fought a hard and brave battle with cancer for 13 months.
05/08/2008 12:00 AM Broc Thomas Tougas, 19, formerly of Fond du Lac and a resident of Bremerton, Wash., died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
05/08/2008 12:00 AM Hildegard (Mrs. Leo) Uselman, 82, of Wadena, passed away Monday, May 5.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena. The Christian Mothers/Foresters Rosary will be held Thursday at 4:30 p.m., the Parish Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m., and the VFW Auxiliary Service at 7 p.m. at the St. Ann’s Parish Center in Wadena. Friends may call at the St. Ann’s Parish Center from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday.
The Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena is in charge of the arrangements.
05/08/2008 12:00 AM Glenn Francis McMillan, 78, of Henning, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Golden living Center in Henning.
He was born July 12, 1929, in Carpenter, S.D., the son of Clarence and Ellen McMillan. He grew up and attended school in Carpenter. He then farmed with his parents until entering the Army during the Korean War. Following his discharge, he worked as a horse trainer and never lost his love of horses. He was married to Karen Klad on April 14, 1973, in Lancaster, Minn. They lived in the Twin Cities where he worked for Telelect until 1983. They then moved to Henning where he was employed by the Wensman Seed Company. He retired when he reached age 62.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday May 8, at the Belmont Funeral Home chapel in Henning with the Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. Interment is in the Inman Cemetery near Henning. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; and a son, Jason. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
