The funeral service for Betty Dailey was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Oylen with Chaplain Bob Mueller presiding.
After a long farewell due to Alzheimer's disease, Betty, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the Bethany Good Samaritan Home, Brainerd, MN.
Betty was born to Harry and Katie (Richards) Slaughter on November 13, 1927, in Kimball Township, Jackson County, MN.
Betty was united in marriage with Fred Dailey on April 21, 1946 in Wadena. They farmed in Poplar Township for many years and also had a business in Leader. Betty always had the coffee on for family and friends. She especially loved her grandchildren.
Preceding Betty in death were her husband, Fred, on January 31, 1994; son Russell; infant daughter Judy and daughter Margaret Dumpprope; her parents, sister, four brothers, and son-in-law Larry Dumpprope.
Survivors include her son Steven (Jean) Dailey of Oylen; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Arlee Dailey.
Casket bearers were Russell Dailey Jr., Wade Dailey, Preston Dailey, Brett Dailey, Kevin Dumpprope, Darrin Dumpprope, and Deven Dumpprope. Honorary casket bearers were her granddaughters, Theresa Voxland, April Enberg, Jamey Harrison, and Dawn Bredenhoft.
Burial was in Poplar Cemetery, north of Leader, MN.
