Wolverines open 6A playoffs with Breckenridge

The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines will begin Section 6A wrestling competition against a very familiar foe when they take on Breckenridge  on Tuesday, Feb. 13 in Underwood.

The Wolverines dropped their lone dual this year with Breckenridge. The Cowboys defeated the Wolverines, 42-27, in their previous match up in Wadena.

The short-handed Wolverines will have to avoid giving up bonus points if they want to make it into the quarterfinals.

The Wolverines and the Cowboys open the competition at 6 p.m. The winner will move on and face Ottertail Central at 8 p.m., on the same day.
