Eden Valley-Watkins 7, WDC 1

 Travis Thielen and Pat Hemington led a 16-hit attack in the tournament opener Aug. 1 at Stauss Park.

 Thielen went 3-for-3 in the cleanup spot, scored twice and drove in one run. Hemington went 3-for-4 and scored once in his leadoff spot.

 Hemington walked four and fanned 10 in notching the mound win for Eden Valley-Watkins. Hemington held WDC to two safeties, a triple by Mike Behl and a single by Dylan Phillips.

 Joe Wallgren was hung with the loss.

Albany 15, WDC 10

 WDC was guilty of eight errors Friday in a season-ending loss to Albany.

 An eight-run explosion in the fifth inning put Albany on top for good.

 Josh Becker went 2-for-5 and drove in three runs for Albany. Gabe Haakonson went 2-for-3 with two runs and two ribbies. Logan Van Drehle and Eric Freymen combined for three hits, three runs and three RBIs.

 Dylan Phillips and Matt Behl led WDC with two hits apiece. Phillips, Zach Schertler and Alex Redfield all scored twice. Schertler and Andrew McCullough both drove in two runs for WDC.

 The WDC squad ended their 2013 campaign with a 24-9 record.
