Fishing camp offers aquatic knowledge
Kids in grades three to six can join the Minnesota DNR MinnAqua staff at Menahga's Spirit Lake Beach from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 16 for a day of exploring Minnesota's aquatic resources, according to a press release sent to the Pioneer Journal.
Participants will learn about fish and their senses. The camp will also help kids better understand the need for fishing regulations, and organizers will help increase kids' fishing skills through casting and making their own pop can fishing rigs.
To register, call the Wadena County Extension Office at 218-631-7623 by July 2.
