Wadena-Deer Creek One-Act Play advances to Section competition

WDC earns first place at Subsections!

Wadena-Deer Creek Drama Department's one-act play, "Relativity," earned a first-place finish at 6A Subsections, Saturday, Jan. 28 at Wadena Memorial Auditorium. WDC advances to Section 6A competition on Saturday, Feb. 4 in Wadena. They will perform at 9:45 a.m. Eagle Valley High School received second place at Subsections for their performance "Oz" and will also advance to Sections.

Several WDC students received "Star" ratings for their performances on Saturday. They included: Austin Korkowski as "Albert Einstein"; Marie Hunt as "Mileva Maric"; and the "Bath Tub Crew" -- Isaac Berger, Adam Leverson, Nick Mertens, Allison Monson, AJ Tollefson and Katelyn Windels.

The WDC Drama Department will give another public performance of "Relativity" at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2 at Wadena Memorial Auditorium. Admission is free and the community is encouraged to attend.

"Relativity" is directed by WDC High School English teacher, Jay Patterson.
