WDC addresses student-learning needs through PLCs

Wadena-Deer Creek elementary and high school teachers gathered in groups according to their grade or specialty during their quarterly Professional Learning Community (PLC) workshop on Monday, Jan. 23. Each group has individual goals that focus on student achievement and best instruction practices. The PLC time helps staff become self-directed learners within their discipline area and allows for dialogue on curriculum alignment and research-based instructional strategies. WDC has used some form of PLCs since the January 2004.
