WDC Elementary third-graders were the recipients of a Wadena Elks donation on Nov. 25th. Elks representative Ryan McQuiston approached instructor Chris Lane this fall and made the suggestion that students at that age group would benefit from having their own personal dictionary. Several Elks lodges throughout the state have adopted similar programs, and the Wadena Elks Lodge has donated dictionaries to five area schools this year, a total of more than 300 dictionaries. The copies, enough for 76 students, were delivered and put to use immediately. McQuiston said he hopes to continue this program each year.
