Ryan's PC Training Plus adds office space, accessibility
A changed location for Ryan's PC Training Plus has provided more office space and better accessibility.
Ryan Andrews held a grand opening open house for his computer business Tuesday Jan. 10 and Wednesday Jan. 11 at the Jefferson Square building where it has been located since May 8, 2011.
He remodeled the room with carpet and desks and removed the old door.
Previously, Ryan's PC Training Plus had been located in the basement of Bernauer building which used to be known as the Village Emporium. He has been in business for a total of five years.
The current setup and ground floor location makes the office handicap accessible for clients.
Besides training clients how to use computers, Andrews offers virus and spyware removal and other services.
"I fix machines. I sell refurbished and new computers. And I also do audio-video converting, where you take the old records, casettes, VHS tapes and 8-millimeter movie tapes and then convert them to DVD or CD," he said.
The audio-video is a new service.
He also offers a contract to businesses, and can recycle computers.
People interested in selling their old computers can bring them to Andrews to be refurbished, and then sold on consignment.
Andrews said he likes the challenge of working with PCs, especially with limited eyesight.
He is a graduate of the computers program at M State.
