Small business plan workshop planned in NYM
A free workshop on how to build a small business plan will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center, 24 North Main Avenue, New York Mills.
Jim Soncrant, a consultant for the Small Business Development Center out of Moorhead, will lead the program.
This workshop will help make your dream of owning your own business a reality by giving you the tools to keep focused and convince lenders you have what it takes to achieve success.
Following the workshop Dale Umlauf, West Central Initiative's vice president of business development, will present what they have to offer small businesses. Information on other funding options from OTW CAC, Farmers and Merchants and Heart of the Lakes Credit Union will also be available.
This workshop is a collaborative project of the NYMRCC, NYM Public Library and NYM Horizons group. This third in a series of workshops aimed initially at introducing ETSY, an electronic marketplace for all things handmade, to our local community of craftspeople and artisans is open to everyone. The basic principles of developing a business plan are the same no matter how you plan to market your products or ideas.
