Routine traffic stop leads to meth bust, false identity
A Fergus Falls man was arrested for first-degree possession of a controlled substance, among other accusations, Sept. 29 after a Todd County K-9 unit found methamphetamines on him during a routine traffic stop near Stapes, according to a report from the Todd County Sheriff's Office.
Jon Wade Muir, 49, of Fergus Falls was arrested for having meth, and the vehicle's driver, David Allen Jenson, 39, of Rochert, Minn., was arrested for providing a false name to a police officer.
Muir was also arrested for aiding and abetting, providing a false name and other charges, according to the report.
The traffic stop took place on State Highway 210, near the intersection of County Road 9 in Staples Township.
