A crash occurred three miles west of Wadena on U.S. Highway 10 Thursday, March 8 in icy conditions and facing the sun at about 5 p.m. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Sheri Siira of Battle Lake lost control of her Chevrolet Silverado on an icy area, went into the median and rolled over. Siira was the vehicle's sole occupant and was transported from the scene by Tri-County Ambulance to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The Wadena Police Department assisted at the scene.

Other emergency workers were present, including the Bluffton Fire Department, Verndale Police and Otter Tail Sheriff.

It was at least the third injury accident this year on U.S. Highway 10 between Wadena and Bluffton.

On Feb. 2, a driver sustained a serious injury after rear-ending a truck in foggy conditions by the intersection of Otter Tail County Road 75.

On Jan. 23, three vehicles were involved in an accident by the same intersection in icy conditions, and one driver was treated and released.
