Public health giving flu shots

If you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, it's not too late. Wadena County Public Health will be holding flu shot clinics from 3-5 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 3-5:30 p.m. on Nov. 8.

The cost is $20, unless you are covered by an insurance program that public health is able to bill to such as:

• Minnesota Health Care Programs (South Country, Medica, Blue Plus, UCare)

• Blue Cross Blue Shield

• Health Partners

• Medicare

The flu vaccine is also available to children at little or no cost through the Minnesota Vaccine for Children Program. To qualify, children must be 18 years of age or younger, be on a Minnesota Health Care Program, be uninsured or underinsured.

If you have questions, please contact Wadena County Public Health at (218) 631-7629.
