Todd-Wadena Healthy Connections invited fifth- and sixth-grade students in Todd and Wadena County schools to participate in the 11th annual Poster-Billboard Contest.

Students were encouraged to design a creative, catchy and colorful poster that illustrated "5-2-1-0 Healthy Communities are the Way to Go!" According to Erica Keppers, a member of the Healthy Connections Health Education Workgroup, "5-2-1-0" stands for 5 fruits and vegetables per day, 2 hours or less of TV or computer screen time per day; 1 or more hours of physical activity per day; and 0 sweetened beverages per day.

WDC Elementary student Ellie Miron won second place for her poster "Eat Right" and received $15. She is in Keith Ferris's sixth-grade class.

Ellie is the daughter of Richard and Jacquelyn Miron of Wadena.
