Two people were injured in an accident on U.S. Highway 10 at the intersection with First Street Northeast in Wadena on Aug. 18.

According to the Wadena Police Department, Luke Andrew Bachmann was stopped at a stop sign facing north when he pulled out in traffic on U.S. Highway 10, and was struck by an oncoming vehicle driven by Lynn Marie Duppler of Valley City, N.D. Bachmann's vehicle was then thrown backward by the impact, and it struck a motorcycle sitting behind him.

Duppler and the driver of the motorcycle, Jeffrey Stanton Morse, of Andover, Minn., were reportedly injured in the crash.

A police report indicated Bachmann pulled out without adequately being able to see traffic from the oncoming lane. He was cited for careless driving.
