OTWCAC would face closure during shutdown

Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council informed the public that it would be closed July 1, except for those programs not affected by the state shutdown, until the state legislature and governor could reach an agreement and pass a bill funding state operations.

OTWCAC said it must advise all vendors, volunteers and contractors that in the absence of legislatively authorized appropriations to Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council, all work, activity and performances under Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council would be suspended.

Community Action programs that are not affected by this impasse will continue to operate, namely Head Start, and limited Family Planning Service.
