Namedroppers: Jeremy Aagard
Jeremy Aagard, son of Dewayne and Janice Aagard, was honored as one of the top 40 under 40 in Fayetteville, N.C., for his business success and community involvement. Jeremy is the assistant general manager for the Fayetteville SwampDogs, a summer collegiate baseball team. He has been with the SwampDogs for five years. He helped organize an annual pink jersey auction night along with the StriKing Out Cancer Night at "The Swamp." He is also a volunteer for the Walk for Lupus and Karen Chandler Trust Foundation. He was an instrumental part of establishing the Grainger Barrett Memorial Scholarship and serves with the Special Olympics of Cumberland County. Jeremy helped to organize the annual Trunk or Treat at "The Swamp" for Halloween. This free, public event has welcomed more than 8,000 children in the three years of its existence. Jeremy is also on the steering committee for Friends of African and African-American art with the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County. Jeremy is a 1996 graduate of Wadena-Deer Creek High School.
