Namedroppers: David Cuppy

• David Cuppy, AAS NREMT-P was recently promoted to the EMS Education Coordinator position at Tri-County Health Care.

"My intention as the Tri-County Hospital EMS Education Coordinator is to provide emergency response education to the communities we serve. My goals include providing community awareness emphasizing the importance of early CPR and AED during a cardiac arrest situation, as well as, education and refresher training with our local First Responders, Law Enforcement and Fire departments," said Cuppy. "To meet the daily challenges of schedules, I also want to continue the work of our team to provide portions of the education electronically."

"A successful program needs dedication, time and commitment. I'm looking forward to helping David achieve his goals," said Allen Smith, Tri-County Hospital Emergency Medical Services manager. "I'm proud to be a part of our EMS team whose educational goals are to increase SURVIVAL, improve COMMUNITY awareness and increase INDIVIDUAL confidence by providing high-quality educational programs for the community - thus improving the health of the communities we serve."

Cuppy lives in Bertha with his wife, Coral. He has been a Tri-County Hospital EMS crew member since 2003.
