Otter icemen pepper Wolverines' net with 50 shots in 8-1 victory

A Fergus Falls crew on a three-game winning streak out-shot Wadena-Deer Creek 50-13 Tuesday night to post an 8-1 victory in Long Prairie.

Six different players scored goals for the Otters.

Mitchell Swanson broke up a Fergus shutout in the second period when he scored with assists from Christian Berg and David Najjar.

The Capitals scored four straight goals in the second period en route to a comeback victory over the Wolverines in the Willmar Bus Cup.

Bridgier Pettit and Taylor Bienusa gave the Wolverines a 2-1 lead in the first period.

After Trenton Wolleburg gave the Wolverines a 3-1 lead on a power play goal just 29 seconds into the second period, the Capitals took charge ongoals by Josh Hanson, Max Hanson, Colin O'Day and Lucas Lindholm. Hanson, O'Day and Lindholm all scored on the power play.

Dylan Isola stopped 26 shots for the Wolverines. Cody Bishop blocked 34 shots for Pierre.
